Documentary Wedding Photography
Hey, I’m Al.
I’m a Manchester-based documentary wedding photographer, and my approach is simple: relaxed, natural photography that focuses on real moments rather than perfect poses. I like things to feel easy on the day, so you can spend less time worrying about photos and more time actually enjoying what’s happening.
Weddings have been a big part of my life for a long time now. Before focusing on photography, I’ve spent years running a wedding videography business called Motionlight Wedding Films, capturing tonnes of weddings across the North West. Being around weddings so often means I know how days really flow, where the meaningful moments tend to happen, and when to step in or quietly step back.
I’m based in Manchester and photograph weddings across the North West, including Cheshire, Lancashire, Merseyside, Yorkshire, and the Peak District.
A Super Chilled Approach.
My wedding videography experience shapes how I photograph weddings today. I’m calm, unobtrusive, and always paying attention to what’s unfolding naturally, rather than trying to force moments or stick rigidly to a plan. Most of the time, couples tell me they barely noticed I was there, until they see the photos afterwards.
If you’re looking for someone who’ll blend in, keep things relaxed, and document your day as it actually felt, you’ll probably feel right at home here.
